Friends and Family Charitable Trust

Mary Ellen Dahlke's Friends & Family Charitable Trust boosted our summer reading program, "One World, Many Stories, Read"  in 2011 and we are grateful!

This year Mary Ellen sent her donation check in honor of her gorgeous new baby granddaughter, Porter. Although the family lives in Texas we celebrated the donation with Mr. Billy (who simultaneously was underwritten by the Trust). Cool!

PROJECT 2011

The Trust paid for a children's work station for our new AWE computer for kids. In this picture, staff member Jill is sitting at the new station and practicing. Thanks to the Trust for providing a place to sit!!

This Trust was begun by Mary Ellen Dahlke, who currently resides in Texas. She has numerous ties to our community. Donations are welcome in memory of loved ones and in honor of loved ones. The library is able to spend the interest from the Trust for small projects.

Purpose

The purpose of the Friends and Family Charitable Trust is to provide a means to honor the memory of a family member or a friend. The Trust is also a way to honor a birthday, anniversary, birth of a child or other reason for celebration or commemoration.

This honor or memorial will benefit the Muehl Public Library and the entire community by providing funds that would not otherwise be available to the Library.

All gifts received will be placed into the trust fund benefiting the Muehl Public Library. Your contribution will help create a lifetime of gifts to the library and to the community.

Reasons for Giving

Establishment & Governance

The Trust was created by Mary Ellen Veitch Dahlke as a gesture of her love for and appreciation of the many contributions made by her extended family to the Seymour community. This Trust was also established so that other members of the community will be able to honor their friends and families as well.

A Board of Trustees governs the Friends and Family Charitable Trust. This Board is independent of the Muehl Public Library Board of Trustees.
