Police Chief Buntrock is sharing two wood carvings from Haiti (circa 1975) from when he was stationed there. They are housed in our display cases in the foyer. Check them out! They were carved by Navy knives--they exhibit beautiful craftsmanship.
Amnesty Day is on April Fool's Day, Thursday, April 1, 2010
Submitted by QB on Mon, 03/22/2010 - 4:12pmIf you have fines on your library card, come to the library April 1 (only) and have them erased. No foolin'! Also, if you have overdue items bring them back on April 1 and we will take off the fines. We do not want fines to be a reason that you do not use the library! And we just want materials back so that more people can borrow them. Sorry, we will NOT be able to erase bills. Those need to be paid so that we can replace the missing materials. Thank you. Tell all your friends and family!

Every week, there is something COOL happening at our library or in the community!
- On Saturday, March 13, 2010, patron Chas Wheelock honored us with his presence as our Book Group talked about the book, 'Absolutely True Diary of a Part Time Indian' by Sherman Alexie. He gave us many very helpful insights into the book.
- On Monday, March 15, Aaron shows off not only his fabulous Batman shirt but his Shamrock Socks for St. Patrick's Day!
- Elizabeth, Library Director, was very happy to play moderator for the Question and Answer Panel for Seymour mayoral and council candidates. The Panel was held on the evening of March 15 in the Seymour High School auditorium.
