AWE Early Literacy Station @ the library

We have an AWE computer station at the library. It is a stand alone station that is not connected to the Internet and has many, many computer games on it that are reflective of children's literature. One example is Dr. Seuss' Green Eggs & Ham. The computer programs range in ability from preschool to 5th grade. This wonderful computer was donated by the Seymour Optimist Club and the desk that it sits on was donated by Home of the Hamburger.

Wheeled Walker Available in the Library!

We have a wheeled walker. It is parked in the foyer and it is available to any patron using the library. It has a basket attached so that the patron can set books in there. It also has a seat so that the patron can sit while browsing. The walker was funded by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services which administers the Library Services and Technology Act.
