Watercoloring was "A Splash" on Tuesday!

On July 6, watercolorist Judith Gosz taught 24 participants a drawing and watercolor project. First she taught the 5 elements: the dot family, the circle family, the curved line family, the straight line family and the angled line family. The class drew black marker pictures using the five elements on transparencies. Then they flipped the transparencies to watercolor. Judith taught the proper use of the brush, how to mix colors on the palette, and how to set up the work space. When the pictures were painted they were flipped once again. The pictures turned out beautiful! This was a great splashy activity! Next up, Carson Kugler, cartoonist of SpongeBob fame, will be at the library on Tuesday, July 13 @ 1:30. All are welcome and there is NOT a pre-sign up for this activity. We will fit in as many people as we can into the meeting space. See you there!
