Happy Halloween everyone!

Of course, at the library we are thrilled to see people dressed in costumes based on book characters. This patron is dressed like the character, Pippi Longstocking, and her daughter is holding a Pippi Longstocking book. How fun!

Beautiful chest raffle tickets are on sale at the library!

We would love to see you at our wine event fundraiser!

Patron Deb Court shares bird nutcrackers--adorable!

Stop by the library to see our current display in the display case in the foyer. Patron Deb Court is sharing her bird nutcrackers with us. Thanks Deb! They are delightful!

Unlike Christmas nutcrackers, these cute little birds can be displayed all year round. 2010 will mark the fourteenth consecutive bird nutcracker design to be released in the series. The designers are Christian, Gunther and Ines Ulbricht. The first in the series was the “woodpecker”. It is a replica of a nutcracker originally designed by Otto Ulbricht in 1933 to commemorate the birth of his son, Christian Ulbricht. The Frame Workshop of Appleton is an area dealer.
