Author studies!

Our adult reading group meets the second Saturday of each month (September to May) to discuss different books. We meet from 9 until 10 a.m. in the meeting space. The Friends of the Muehl Public Library provide the morning snacks. All are welcome, even if they have not had a chance to read the book.
Our January session is fun because we choose an author to read “anything by”. Last Saturday, we read anything by author JAMES PATTERSON. Kris Peters reminded us to speak about our works chronologically. That was fun because we could see the emerging of his work over time and we could discuss how his writing has grown and changed. We also spoke about the things that this author does repeatedly.
Personally, each January choice pushes me to read an author who I might not normally pick up. We choose prolific writers so that we have a wide body of titles to delve into. Perhaps you would like to try one of these authors! Here follows the ones we have studied so far:
2004 Nevada Barr
2005 Tony Hillerman
2006 Carl Hiaasen
2007 Jack London
2008 Dean Koontz
2009 Nicholas Sparks
2010 Michael Perry
2011 John Steinbeck
2012 Jodi Picoult
2013 Anna Quindlen
2014 Lois Lowry
2015 Debbie Macomber
2016 Chris Bohjalian
2017 Kristin Hannah
2018 James Patterson
